Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)

THAT the minutes of the Youth Advisory Committee meeting of March 19, 2019 be approved as circulated and read.

THAT the following modifications to the Youth Advisory Committee terms of reference be adopted:  Composition: Appointees must be between the ages of 14 and 30 At least one (1) representative each from TISS, BCI, and St. Mary; At least one (1) student representative from Ange Gabriel or Fulford Academy; At least one (1) student representative from St. Lawrence College; and Up to five (5) youth representatives from the community at large.  The Committee will nominate and elect a Chair and Vice-Chair at the July meeting of each calendar year. These appointments will run from July to June 30 of the following year.  THAT the Youth Advisory Committee be renamed the Youth Advisory Council. THAT committee members reach out to the schools identified in the terms of reference to establish an appointment or election process for student representatives.
